Dan Hartman to announce campaign for Duluth City Councilor-at-Large

Duluth, MN – Veterans Memorial Hall Program Director and neighborhood activist Dan Hartman will announce his candidacy for Duluth City Council on Thursday, April 2 in a campaign video at his Web site, hartmanforcouncil.org.

“I’m running for the at-large seat because I believe Duluth can be better. It’s time we stop talking about why we can’t and start talking about how we will build a better Duluth,” explains Hartman, “I want to see our city take advantage of its many resources, such as its port and airport, its natural surroundings, its vibrant arts community, and its impressive workforce.”

A graduate and past Student Body President of UMD, Hartman is the Program Director for the Veteran’s Memorial Hall and lives in the East Hillside neighborhood with his wife, Liz.

“My parents instilled a sense of service in me when I was very young, and I take it seriously,” says Hartman. As the board president of Neighborhood Housing services, Hartman’s passion for improving Duluth’s neighborhoods and improving home ownership accessibility will take a front seat in his campaign.

A video announcement, full biography, and formal statement can be found at hartmanforcouncil.org.
